The Radboud Summer School ‘Historical Demography: Reconstructing Life Course Dynamics’ took place from 4 july until 15 july 2016 in Nijmegen. Also this year I had the pleasure to be involved as an organizer and teacher.
As part of the European Historical Populations Samples Network International Summer Schools, the Radboud Summer School focused on data manipulation and basic logistic regression analysis in R Studio. The main theme of the course was the life course perspective and its use for studying marriage, reproduction and mortality. Students also had the opportunity to do small group projects, which were presented on the last day of the summer school.
A total of 9 students, from Armenia, Belgium, Hungary, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Portugal, Suriname, and Greece, attended the course. All students successfully completed the course.
